THE IDEA
WHAT IT IS
It's a car day first. The house is the destination.
Every few weeks we pick a home for sale with the kind of garage most of us sketch on napkins: five bays or more, room for a lift, space to actually work. Then we plan a drive to it.
You bring your car. We bring the route and the house. We drive, we walk through the property together, and we finish the day at a table somewhere good.

Do I need a special car?
No. If you love driving it, bring it.
Can I bring a passenger?
Please do. Spouses, partners, and co-pilots are encouraged, especially anyone who would have a say in the next house.
Should I bring a walkie-talkie?
Yes, if you have one. It keeps the group together, makes turns easier to call out, and is half the fun. Bring a pair if you're carrying a passenger. Set them to channel [X].
How do seats get filled?
Requests are confirmed in the order they come in, with Garage Report readers getting first call. If the drive fills up, you go on the waitlist and get first call on the next date.
Is this a sales event?
No. Nobody gets handed a contract at lunch. If something on the drive gets you thinking, we're happy to talk whenever you're ready.
Is this a race?
No. We follow traffic laws, keep the group together, and stop for photos.
