Nine Doors, Five Acres, No HOA: A Conifer Home With 6 Garage Bays

Aerial view at dusk of a Conifer home with 6-car garage, both buildings lit up against the foothills

Most listings bury the garage in paragraph four, somewhere after the countertops. This one puts it first.

The house sits on five acres in Evergreen Meadows West, a quiet pocket of Conifer in Jefferson County. Behind it stands a detached building that, from the driveway, looks like a carriage house. Six cedar doors run across the ground floor. Tall windows line the level above. We look at a lot of garage listings, and this is one of the few that stopped us. The garage holds six cars, and the home’s original three-car garage, now a rec room, could take three more. Finding six spaces in Conifer is rare and this setting can hold a real collection, with room to grow.

Six Bays, Done Right

The detached garage holds six cars. It's heated, insulated, and wired for 220V. The listing calls it oversized, and in the photos the doors look generous. Upstairs is a studio and storage space with its own half bath. Use it as an office over the cars, a lounge, or just a place to keep the parts shelf off the shop floor.

It's built the way a collector's garage should be. Stucco and stone that match the house, a wide concrete apron with room to stage cars and wash them, and four more spaces on the driveway for guests or the daily driver.

There's no word yet on ceiling height or whether it can take a lift. If that matters for your plans, it's the first thing to ask about on a showing.

Three More Bays, Currently Playing Pool

Here's the part most buyers will skim past, and car people won't.

Three garage doors open to reveal a rec room with a pool table inside the former attached garage

The original three-car attached garage has been turned into a rec room. But for a car collector, the bigger story is what’s underneath. It’s still a three-car garage at heart, attached to the house, with the concrete already down. Keep it as a place to shoot pool while your cars sit next door, turn it into a lounge that looks out over the collection, or move the pool table out and park three more cars. Add those to the six-car garage, and you’re looking at room for nine.

Rec room with pool table, foosball table, and garage door openers still mounted overhead

Look up, and you'll see the overhead doors are still there, along with the openers. Open them, and the room goes straight back to the driveway. For now it's a place to host the crew after a drive. Later, it could be three more bays. A furnace and a support post sit inside, so plan around those, but the bones of a garage are still in place.

Put another way, this property gives you six bays for the collection and three more on standby.

No HOA. No Covenants.

There’s no HOA here, and no covenants on the deed. If you’ve ever had a board tell you where the trailer can sit or how long a car can live under a cover in the driveway, you know why that matters. Horses are allowed too, so the zoning leaves room for more than a house. Check with Jefferson County before you plan a second shop, but nobody else gets a vote.

The five acres are fire-mitigated and landscaped, wrapped in black metal fencing, and planted with aspen and pine. The view starts at the foothills and ends at the Denver skyline, which lights up after dark.

The House Holds Its Own

The 1993 Mountain Contemporary home has been updated and has plenty of room for living: 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, and about 7,476 finished square feet across three levels.

The main level is built around a chef's kitchen with an eat-in area, double ovens, and a wine cooler. There's an open dining room, a living room with a wood-burning stove that opens to the upper deck, and an enclosed sunroom facing the view. Upstairs are three bedrooms and an office.

The walk-out lower level holds a second primary suite. It comes with a walk-in closet, an exercise room, and a sunroom with a hot tub that opens straight to the yard. Picture a cold January night here, the hot tub warm and the city lights out past the trees. That's the pitch.

Getting Out and Getting Around

Highway 285 is close, and from there I-70 opens up the high country. Red Rocks is an easy evening drive. Everyday errands are handled in Conifer and Evergreen. So are the mountain roads, which, for the person buying this house, may be the real point.

Ready To See The Inside?

Unfortunately, there were no pictures of the inside of the 6-car garage in the listing photos, so you'll have to schedule a showing to get a first-hand look inside. Want to walk through it?
